This Journal entry shall discuss my feelings on Cathy Song’s ”Heaven,” and analyzing as well as interpreting the message in it. I will go into the message of heritage, how the narrator’s boy relates to his heritage, and interpretation of the narrator’s feelings on the town that her family lives in.
One of the biggest underlying elements is heritage. It immediately starts off with “He thinks when we die we’ll go to China” (line 1).
