Just Going To Bash The President Essay

I’m not just going to bash the President for his speech. The speech was slow and very lethargic. Our President does speak very gallantly to the likes of both Roosevelts and of Lincoln, but unlike those three our current President doesn’t follow through on his promises. The address started with the President bashing Republicans. I will admit, the current Congress does not do enough to help our country. Considering that Republicans hold the majority in both House’s I understand where Mr. Obama is coming from. We have guys like Marco Rubio missing a third of the votes, it’s not acceptable. We can’t do what Bernie Sanders wants to do and just raise the wages because that will hurt the businesses and cause them to go bankrupt. The first thing we can do is lower taxes. That will keep the money a worker earns in his pocket. The second thing we need to do is fix the deficit. When we are 17 trillion dollars in debt we can’t keep spending money. We should cut funding for groups that are not part of the government. By that I mean groups like Planned Parenthood and even the Boy Scouts. We should stop funding organizations that can fund themselves. This will cut spending and will start to put the government back into position where they can run without the possibility of shutting down. By fixing the deficit we can lower taxes on businesses which will allow them to hire more employees and increase wages. The government also needs to pass legislation which makes it almost impossible to cheat the system. Smart businessmen like Donald Trump have filed for bankruptcy and have ended up making millions of dollars off of it. There need to be laws regarding circumstances like that, that prevent businesses from doing that and taking money from the
