Against Minimum Wage Essay
In order for any change to happen people must first have to start by replacing any political officials that are not supporting the views of its people and the greater good. We have to make sure that people in office that are representing us and advocating the increasing on minimum wage,are fully supported. Politicians like Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton have the right idea when it comes to minimum wage. They want to impose laws so that states and federal government are required to increase the minimum wage whenever the cost of living rises (Johnston 1). There has to be an uprise by women, young workers and other low income individuals by having a peaceful protest to the government that the current minimum wage is not acceptable. Creating a petition and have it sent to a government official that advocates the increase of minimum wage can also aid the cause. A petition will have the same results as a protest but with this method it will allow expansion of the idea to different states and different people allowing more coverage and even more individuals to accept the idea of increasing …show more content…
The women, young adults, and low income workers that can make this possible have to be heard because they are the ones that are greatly affected by the unequal and unsatisfactory income they receive due to the low standards that are set by the minimum wage laws. Every voice counts no matter of age, sex or race we have to implement some type of change so that working individuals are able to support themselves and their families (Alper). Basically all the support from the low income workforce is needed in order for the government to even consider about changing the federal minimum wage from what it is currently sitting at $7.25 to $12 an hour (Say Yes to a $15 Minimum
