Abstract
I chose to write my definition essay on Juvenile Delinquents who show high prevalence of mental disorders of disruptive behavior. Which also include a short attention deficit along with hyperactivity disorder which is called (AD/HD) oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Their disruptive behavior disorders are conditions that not only affect the children’s general health and education but also carry a dramatically increased risk for mental health problems, substance abuse, and criminality in adult-hood.

My essay on Juvenile Delinquent has opened my eyes and has given me more understanding on how to relate with juveniles on a daily basis’s. I’ve had the pleasure of working with them along with their families for several years. In doing my study I’ve found that a doctor by the name of Dr. Slahlberg did a medical study with a group of students who has been labeled juvenile delinquent through the courts systems; in which his study shows that these juvenile delinquents have more of a medical issue than what the system has given them credit for.
The court systems believes when a crime is committed put the child in prison and have him or her to pay for the crime in which they have committed and release them without helping them to perform in the real world when they get out. According to Dr. Ola those whose have a medical disability even though they are juveniles, run the risk of not being able to perform in school which causes them to have lack of educational skills, social opportunities’ that contribute to continue social maladjustment, along with attention deficit, hyperactivity disorder, which is also called AD/HD oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, anxiety disorders and mood disorders.
