Kate James was an incredible artist. She lived in downtown Paris in a stylish, contemporary apartment. She owned her own art studio in which she would spend numerous hours a day just sitting in her studio perfectly mastering her paintings until they were just right. Her boyfriend, Mason Scott, also lives in central Paris. He is an architect and lived about five brief minutes away. They had dated for almost two years and continued falling more in love day by day.

Many thought this was one of Kate’s best paintings. She told Mason that it had definitely the deepest meaning out of all of her paintings. That was what Mason loved most about her paintings; hearing the meaning behind every little detail. He never knew what to expect her vision to be, but hearing her explanation made him love them even more. Kate never shared the meaning to anyone until she did her regular presentation at the library in Paris.
Kate was in the middle of writing the speech for her presentation and she remembered the first time she met Mason. She had just graduated college and was going to go celebrate with her, also newly graduated, friends. They went to a club in downtown Paris. Kate and all of her friends, single just like her, went up to the bar and asked for some drinks; Kate, on the other hand, went to use the restrooms before going up to the bar. And just as she pushed her way through the endless crowd of people, she fell. She fell right into the arms of Mason Scott.

Kate no longer had to use the restroom. She and Mason went for coffee the next morning and decided to see each other again. It was from that day on that they were inseparable. Their love grew deeper and deeper.
The next day was the presentation of her painting. She had her scrap sheet of paper had her speech on it, and she got in her car to head down to the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève. She was about thirty seconds away when all of the sudden a car came out from the left and rear ended her. September 27, 2011, Katelyn Claire James died. The car ran a red light driving at 83 km/hr. Kate’s car was nearly demolished; she flew into the windshield and laid, unconscious, on top of her car for eight minutes before she was taken away in an ambulance. She was sent to the Centre Hospitalier Sainte Anne. her brain was in critical condition which caused her to bleed to death before doctors could treat her in
