I needed to know the information for the test even though I was not sure how it applied to the bigger picture. It easily became frustrating that I was “learning” all this knowledge that I was not able to retain or did not seem to have a meaning to it. But it seems that after I actually analyzed my education more, I realized that some of my teachers taught us in more of a critical thinking way, and others in a creative thinking way. Some teachers taught straight out of the book, fact was fact and that was it. On the other hand, some teachers encouraged us to base our own opinion out of the facts we were taught, and we were also challenged to find ways to “teach ourselves” sometimes rather than being given the regular lesson by the instructor. I have only had a few, of my many teachers, that taught creatively in the same depth as Ms. Watson though. Also like Ms. Watson, my school always told us that we could do whatever we wanted with our lives, they did not put much limitations on what they thought we could achieve. They encouraged us to set high expectations for ourselves and strive for big things in our
