Katniss Everdeen Is A Role Model
I’m eleven years old, sitting in my room, reading a book and entering a scary world in the future. I meet a girl, Katniss Everdeen. From that moment, I knew she was my hero.
To most people a hero is a person who fights villains, saves the day, and gets to ride off into the sunset. I disagree, I believe a hero is someone willing to put others before themselves, brave enough to do something even when they are scared, and lastly someone who stands up for what they believe in. Like Katniss Everdeen, she may be a fictional character, but she inspires me.

She was girl from a district of coal miners. Her family was poor and Her father had died. Therefore she should be depressed right? Wrong! Katniss remained strong. While her mother mourned over

Katniss may not be a real person but I think of her character as a great role model. I feel I can connect with her. Her actions cause me to think of others. Like the other day. I was waiting in the lunch line when I noticed my friend waiting behind me. She had been waiting there for the longest time for one thing; FRENCH FRIES! As the man filled my plate I noticed I was getting the last of the fries. I saw my friends face frown. I decided, I wasn't really that hungry and shared my fries with her. It felt so good to make someone happy! Katniss inspired me to do that. With moments like this one….

In the Hunger Games Katniss forms an alliance with a young girl who she refers to as, Rue. Katniss manages to kill a bird. Food is very hard to obtain in the Hunger Games so this was a big deal. As Katniss cooked the bird she noticed Rue watching her from the shadows. She looked very hungry. Katniss said, “I can see you, Its ok, I wont hurt you. Please come out.” Slowly Rue came out and sat by the fire. Katniss shared her meal with her. In the Hunger Games you can form alliances but no one is that friendly! Not only did Katniss share her meal, but she gave her the rest of it! Katniss is so generous and kind, hence the reason I chose

She is characterzed by being a caring person who encourage ones around her to keep going no matter what. Im always there for people who ask for my help, and im also a caring person. The motivation that Katniss showed through her actions is away that I am when helping others, or in a bad situation. Not once in the movie did I see her give up on anything, even if she had gotten hurt really bad. She stuck to what she had to do or either what she was going to do in order to get things back to how they were. Even when it came to helping another team player, she didn’t see it as a threat which showed how caring she…

Waking up from bed, we are introduced to our protagonist, sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen. She is a very caring, loving and sweet girl with a tough side to her. You can decipher this by the way she cares for her family and how she loves them deeply. She is confident and brave but can stubborn and sometimes cruel. This can be seen in the way she kills animals without a flinch and when she constantly breaks rules and questions authority. She holds skills in hunting and surviving and isn’t afraid to get a little dirt on her. Although she is only a teenager, she is a tough hunter who puts food on her family's table. Her father is dead and she lives with her mother and sister Prim in District 12, in the country of Panem, formally North America. Collins depicts the setting as a very depressing, poor and plain place to live in. This setting contributes to the overall atmosphere of the book which is really desperate and bleak, and it makes you feel more for the characters knowing they are placed in a setting so horrible that they starve and have to hunt for food. Katniss hunts with her friend named Gale who is very kind hearted and a good looking boy who has similar characteristics as her, and it is hinted that he might have an interest in her romantically. Katniss however is not into romance and love all that much, so she does not show feelings towards him.…

What is a hero? A hero to me is a person who is brave, has a bunch of courage and knows right from wrong. You don’t have to have a mask or a suit to be a hero. A hero is willing to help a person at anytime. A hero can kill their enemy with kindness. For an example I believe Jackie Robinson is an incredible, life changing hero. He had been the first African American to play in the Major League Baseball. He had played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. They played him and they had ended racial segregation.…

Some say a hero is defined as somebody who does something dangerous to help somebody else. Others would disagree and state that a hero is a large, muscular being who flys around in flamboyant spandex costumes. What is a hero to you? Over time there have been many epic heroes. Theses heroes show traits of strength, courage, nobility, a thirst for glory, confidence in authority, and intellect. Towards the middle of Lord of the Flies, the young group of boys split into two different groups. Ralph, Piggy, Simon, and SamnEric were allies throughout the story until Simon passed away and SamnEric were kidnapped. That left Ralph and piggy to fend for themselves while Jack, Roger, the hunters, and a few little ones began taking over the island. Jack Stole SamnEric, torturing them to find information about Ralph and Piggy. This created a very different feeling than The Hunger Games. While Katniss was camping in the trees, waiting for people to pass by she spotted a young girl, Rue, who reminds her very much of her sister. They became partners after Katniss was stung by a Tracker Jacker and fell from the tree. Rue covered her in leaves and created a remedy to help Katniss heal. They were planning to kill Cato and his group but was unable to proceed because Rue was shot by one of the tributes in his group. Katniss killed him using the bow and arrow she collected and sung to Rue as she died. This shows a bond between them that was very strong in a big sister, little sister way. This is the first time people see Katniss cry and show remorse for the killings. She then tries to find Peeta and stumbled across his camouflaged body. He is hurt so she helps him to a nearby cave that was high enough to not be noticed. They…

A hero to many is someone who goes around running impossible speeds like flash doing good or a person with supernatural powers. Or like Judah thinks a hero is the good guy that fights the bad guy and always wins. However, to me a hero is a person who doesn’t care about money, fame and glory but they care about the happiness they can bring and the care they can bring for their family. A person who consoles me when I am upset, a person who always tries to find the good in everything. A person who fights for her beliefs(even if sometimes they are stubborn about it). A person who always gets me on my good side when I have a bad day. Someone who smiles and laughs at her own mistakes. Ciocia Tereska this why you are my hero!!! Against all odds…
