Single Shooter Theory- The single shooter theory is the theory where there was only one shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald. In this theory it was said that Oswald fired three shots from the 6th floor of the School Book Depository Building where there was later found three shell casings matching Oswald's rifle. The first shot was a miss. The second shot was infamous magic bullet shot, where the bullet hit Kennedy in the back, then went through his neck, then hits John Connelly in the back, ribs, wrist, and finally lodges in his leg. The third bullet was the head shot where Kennedy was finally killed.

LBJ Theory- The LBJ theory was the theory that Lyndon B Johnson hired his good friend Malcolm "Mac" Wallace to kill Kennedy. Lyndon Johnson, motivated by the fear of being dropped from the Kennedy ticket in 1964 and the need to cover up various scandals, masterminded Kennedy's assassination with the help of his friend attorney Edwardo Clark.

Mafia Theory- The mafia theory is where the mafia members were paid to have Kennedy killed. It is believed that it was organized by Carlos Marcello , Santos Trafficante, and Jimmy Hoffa. This theory is based on the idea that the Mafia were angry with both John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy for their attempts to destroy organized crime. So to fix the problem they had him killed.

Pro-Communist Theory- The pro-communist theory is the theory that a communist country like Cuba or the Soviet Union had Kennedy killed. President Lyndon Johnson informed several journalistic sources of his personal belief that the assassination had been organized by Fidel Castro from Cuba. Johnson had received in 1967 information from both the FBI and CIA that in the early 1960s, the CIA had tried to have Castro assassinated. It was Johnson's belief that JFK's assassination had been organized by Castro as a retaliation for the CIA's efforts to kill Castro.

    JFK LONE GUNMAN

    • 1141 Words

It is a well-known fact that President John F Kennedy was shot dead, assassinated in Dealey Plaza on the 22nd of November, 1963. What is still debated today however, is who killed Kennedy, and how many people were involved. One of the main contributing factors to this debate is the amount of potential forensic evidence destroyed, the question of how reliable some of the evidence is (, mainly eye-witness accounts), and the evidence that is yet to be released to the public (, why is it locked up, what light can it shed on the event?). Due to many problems surrounding the very evidence that historians, politicians and common people alike draw their opinions from, there can be no definitive conclusion as to whether JFK was killed by a lone gunman, or even who is ultimately responsible for his death. The evidence recovered on the assassination of JFK largely supports the theory of a lone gunman, the identity of this gunman however, is still hotly debated, but a significant portion of all evidence released to the public points to the lone gunman theory. The way this evidence supports the lone gunman theory is varied. Several eye witnesses claim…

I believe the government plotted the JFK assassination. Why would they do this? I do not know. I do know that the evidence proves the government did it. The special ops being shipped to the South Pole, the shot from the grassy knoll, and the change in the parade route is some of the evidence presented to the public, causing the reasons for conspiracy theories. The government used Lee Harvey Oswald as a scapegoat and for the United States public to blame it on.…

    JFK Assassination Theory

In this paper, I will discuss the controversy of the theory that Lee Harvey Oswald was the single shooter in the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK). Against what Mr. O’Reilly and Mr. Dugard have said, I do not believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was the single shooter in the assassination of JFK, because the only three shots fired from his rifle would have been spaced out evenly, instead of bunched up, as witnesses testified.…

Any study on the assasination of jfk starts with who has the power to relax his protection, who has the power to destroy all the evidence and then why would they want the president killed. If you look at dealey plaza that day you will notice that many windows were open in the buildings around the president which is a huge violation of secret service policy. All of teh presidents secret service protection team were on the ground right behind him in one car(another huge violation of secret service policy). The route was changed the last minutes to put him in direct line for a triangulation of crossfire(another violation). His head flew back when he was struck with the fatal head shot which is impossible if u are blaming oswald who was in the building behind him. Plus as colonel fletcher prouty said he was supposed to be in charge of a team that was…

One widely excepted theory was that Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK and injured Governor John Connally. In this theory Oswald was set up in a window and shot three bullets which hit JFK in the head and in the neck, and one struck the Governor. There is also another spin of of this theory called “The Grassy Knoll”. This theory says that Oswald wasn’t working alone, but he had help from CIA assassins that were disguised as homeless men by the grassy knoll on the north side of Elm Street. There are also some theories saying that Oswald wasn’t just a loner, but that he was paid to do this task, but by who? Well there are multiple such as; the CIA, the Mafia, the KGB aka the Russian mob.…

No single theory is widely accepted. In the year of 1964, the Warren Commission concluded that only Lee Harvey Oswald was the one that was responsible for the assassination of Kennedy. In the year of 1979, the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations, which was also known as HSCA, concluded that a second gunman besides Oswald probably fired at Kennedy. The HSCA did not identify the second gunman, nor did it identify any other person or organization as having been involved. The acoustical evidence that the HSCA based its second gunman conclusion on has since been discredited. The public opinion polls have consistently shown that a majority of Americans believe there was a conspiracy to kill Kennedy. The Gallup polls have found that there was only 20-30% of the population believe that Oswald had acted alone. These polls have shown that there is no agreement…

This theory is one of the three bullets Oswald shot in 8.3 seconds, proven the best gunmen could not get off three shots with the rifle, classified as the Carcano M91/38 Bolt Action in this time. One of the three bullets is named “Magic Bullet” that has supposedly changed its direction twice. Secondly, there is another topic with evidence that supports the lone assassin theory. The topic is the ballistics. We first look at Lee Harvey Oswald’s ability of successfully carrying out an assassination attempt. Part of his ability was the time frame. The amount of time it took for Oswald to fire off shots at the president was around 8 seconds.…

There were many people questioned about what they saw or heard on the day of Kennedy’s death. 179 witnesses said that there were three shots, and 28% said the shots sounded as if they came from the book depository. There were a few people, though, that thought they heard a fourth a shot from Dealey Plaza, leading to a conspiracy theory that Oswald wasn’t the only shooter. This was looked into and it was…

I started my researching who killed JFK and looking at an overall list of what the conspiracy theories where, then took the most widely regarded ones and dug a little deeper into them, looking into some of the reasoning behind their stances. After my research, I came to he conclusion the mafia were behind the assassination because that seemed like the most put together theory. It seemed likely that through his previous connection with the mafia, their influence in his election, their ties to dealings in Cuba before the Bay of Pigs, and the fact Robert wouldn’t let up on organize crime could all lead to something like an assassination. I believe I regarded this information critically, establishing my opinion on who killed JFK, but also having the reason to doubt that it is not a known fact who killed Kennedy and other theories may also have compelling evidence that I have to be open to hearing. Notably, I had never heard the theory that Kennedy arranged is own death before, but listening to Amanda talk about it in class you could sort of make understand and it made…

Another theory is that JFK's Vice president, Lyndon B Johnson was involved in his murder. First of all they were in dallas where LBJ had been a senator and had lots of connections. Second of all some of his connections were in the oil business and the oil business is synonymous with the mafia. You may be asking why the mafia would want to knock off the president. It is because Kennedy's brother Robert was the attorney general and had an anti mafia crusade which led to the prosecution of several senior mafia officials. Also Lyndon B Johnson Changed the route to go past the book depository and the grassy knoll and you can read about that on my previous theory.…

The Warren Commissions theory states that Lee Harvey Oswald was the only assassin and there were three shots fired, killing President Kennedy and wounding Governor Connally. At least more than two people had involved in the “Umbrella Man” conspiracy. We only know about the two men, the man with the umbrella and the man at the corner of the street with his arm in the air. These two men could have been the only men if the umbrella was in fact, a dart-firing weapon. During the investigation, the Warren Commission ignored the two men involved with the umbrella.…
