North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-Un, went into the spotlight once again for another one of his tireless and feeble antics though appearing more plausible than usual as it was our beloved Commander-in-Chief who instigated this particular interaction. After mocking Kim in his [Trump] speech by calling him “Rocket-Man”, Kim’s response was as Austin Ramzy described it, “inevitable”. Though expected, Kim’s choice of words is what was brought to attention rather than the actual message he …show more content…
said. He backfired at Trump’s name-calling by insulting back and saying Trump was “mentally deranged U.S. dotard.” which leaves a perplexed audience guessing what Kim exactly meant. As was discovered, dotard means “ a person of one’s own dotage”, which to be quite fair, seems like an accurate description in the way Kim used it. All of that set aside, this leaves us with the reality of the situation being promised “ballistic missiles and nuclear tests”. It is understandable that the initial response was met with lightheartedness but it should also not “eclipse the seriousness of [the situation] “.
With all the nuclear tests already occurring leaves the natural world at risk for permanent damage.
The tremor recently in China was, thought confirmed by the South Korean’s weather management agency to have not been artificially triggered, leaves us with pondering possibilities. When North Korea released its 6th nuclear weapon, it caused a quake at a magnitude of 6.3. “There have been concerns about the stability of the nuclear test site since the Sept. 3 detonation.” wrote Kambiz Foroohar, Janet Ong, and Sam Kim on the matter as satellite imagery “show(s) landslides atop the site that were more numerous and widespread than after the previous five tests.” The behavior depicted by each political figure leaves me both flabbergasted though not stupendously shocked either given who exactly the political figures are. As everyone else does, I can only hope for the better to come and if not than wish for the probable guaranteed disasters to be as minimal as
possible.
