Kind Words Research Paper
“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” This quotation was from Mother Teresa of Calcutta and demonstrates the positive effects of speaking kindly. Speaking kindly can encourage people and it can make you new friends. Kind words can also solve conflict and other various problems. With that being said I believe that kind words can and do help people with problems like loneliness and anxiety. The reason I believe so is because it had happened to me before. It has helped me gain friends and it has also helped me out with a few conflicts. On my first day at school, I had moved from Illinois, back when I was in kindergarten and just like everyone when they move I did not know a single person there. No
one talked to that first day I was avoided like I was the black plague. I had tried to strike a conversation with a few of my classmates, but they had all seemed like they did not like me being there so I stayed to myself for the first day. I did not talk I ate alone and I walked around the schools playground alone without any company. On the second day it stated to be like the first day no one talked to me during breakfast and the first few hours of the day. Soon after lunch I was at recess expecting to do the same thing I did my first day being alone. Soon after that thought I had met my first friend at the new school and he is still my friend to this day. I had met my friend Deven he had walked up to me at recess and started talking to me . Soon after he started talking to me many other people had started talking to me. Today I don’t have as many friends as I did back in kindergarten it is a sad story but it happens all the time. It can be devastating and hard to get through. It could be me at fault or it could be my friends betrayal at fault who knows. I am just happy that I can say that I have a friend as great as Deven. In conclusion I believe that Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s words are true in meaning. Kind words can last forever and can make you life long friends.
