King Arthur's Knights Short Story
Indiana Jones carried a whip. Luke Skywalker had a light saber. Robin Hood— he had a longbow. Well my name's Palladus, and I am one of King Arthur's Knights. I carry the mighty energy sword. With it, I wield a weapon of mass destruction. It's no ordinary sword, no it's sword that can cut through diamond, it can also charge up energy particles and fire them at my foes. I am one of the five elite, Legend Knights. The others are Pearo, Shelton, Lacy, and Thortus. We each carry and energy weapon. Pearo carry's the energy gauntlets, Shelton — the energy bow, Lacy — the energy whip, and Thortus with the energy hammer. All of us are very skilled with our weapons. We live in King Arthur's mighty castle. His castle has literally, hundreds of rooms, and has robot men as servants. Well anyways, this is the story of how the evil, demonic, Mortos was slain.

It all started one night before Dusk, when these kids were strolling through the forest. The kids then decided to sit down on this log,

He had destroyed 5 of them already and wounded 20 more. That's why our team was assigned to this, because we are the most elite knights in the kingdom. And so began the war — the War of Legends. Mortos had monsters surrounding the kingdom. Mortos wouldn't quit until all humans were extinct. So, the only choice we had was to fight. The war lasted for a total of 3 days. As soon as we came in on the second day we started to actually harm the enemy and win the war. We fought all day defending from Mortos' attacks. We were exhausted at the end of the day, the fight had really worn us out. The last day — the day of the mortals — was extremely tough. Me and my team finally met Mortos. "So you're the mighty Mortos we've heard so much about." I asked. He was the size of the castle. He did not answer. "What are you, a God, a Titan, what? Tell me now." He still did not answer. "Puny mortals! I am more the powerful than you will ever be." Mortos

The year was 1953. It was a cool, crisp twenty-ninth of October. Usually, after their chores and homework were done, Kathy, 8, and her brother Jonathan, 15, along with their friend May, 11, and her cousin Adam, 13, all went to Joe’s Arcade, the local hangout of Leaport, North Carolina. Instead, they all decided to meet at the end of their dead end street, Farrow Avenue, and go for a walk through the woods. They were all bored since the arcade was too crowded and supper wasn’t ready yet. Their town was a small town, so there wasn’t any other places to go besides the woods. Plus, the old, burned O’Leary house was out there.…

Feelings of foreboding flooded his senses as the hair on the back of his neck stood out. Someone had listened to his conversation, and was residing in the shadows of his room. How had he not sensed this before? “Whoever is here, step forward. Do so quickly or face my wrath.” A tall, muscular man stepped forward. A knight, he surmised, wearing jade colored armor with a coat of arms on his chest plate that he did not recognize, figures of two fighting dragons adorned his gauntlets, and in his hands, he threateningly…

Many speculations have been made trying to determine who is the modern day King Arthur, his reincarnate self. King Arthur, if he existed, was thought to be one of the greatest leaders of all time. Ever since the day the South surrendered to the North in May of 1865, Americans have argued on why the South lost. Others argued that the South never had chance to win the war, yet more than half a million people were killed, homes were lost and destroyed and families were torn apart. There are many theories to explain this, many arguing that the South never had a chance to win the Civil War to begin with, for the North out numbered and had better resources than the South at almost every point, militarily.…

King Arthur's court is often presented as home to noble knights; however it may also be found that opposing views exist of how Knights of the Roundtable carried themselves, such as presented in Marie de France's Lanval and Chaucer's Wife of Bath, where one knight is being mistreated by his fellow brothers-in-arms and another knight is simply a rapist. These authors question the nobility of the knights as well as of the ladies and through their literary works they both critique the male world as well as the upper class.…

The legend of King Arthur can be traced as far back as the fourth and fifth centuries. But the earliest tales of Arthur were almost nothing like they are today. There were no wandering minstrels, or ladies–in–waiting, or knights in shining armor taking on bold quests to defend their ladies. Instead, there were tales of giants, and magic cups, and invaders from a foreign land. In some ancient versions of the legend, Arthur is a hero whose deeds are comparable to those of Hercules. In more modern versions, he is merely a king whose knights are the real heroes of the story. The earliest tales of Arthur were spread largely by word of mouth, and very few written accounts survive. Of the ones that do, we do not have the original documents, only copies…
