While caring for infants and toddlers my goal is to provide a safe environment for exploration by following safety policies and procedures. Throughout the day all spaces are checked for hazards and kept free of clutter to avoid problems during an emergency. Their environment should always be inspected for choking hazards. A daily routine is maintained to ensure the indoor and outdoor play areas are free of hazardous exposures. A Daily indoor/outdoor checklist form is completed twice daily to document room conditions. Chino Hills High School is a great school with a variety of programs offered on campus. All of which are great and beneficial to the Husky students, community, and staff. One of the great programs offered is the Safe School Ambassadors program. Safe School Ambassadors is “ an ‘“ inside out” ’ approach to improving school climate… (which) relies on social norms change and the power of students to help stop bullying and violence (SSA).” One of the goals of the Husky Safe School Ambassadors is to make the Chino Hills High School campus even safer than it already is for every Husky student. I provide adequate supervision for the children by maintaining the minimum adult child ratios required and when the budget allows, I have more adults available in the classroom. I also focus on the interior of the classroom by keeping my back to the classroom, the whole room should be visible enabling me to monitor and prevent accidents.
