Machine Knitting 3a- Single E-Wrap with Increase and Decrease

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. Thread your machine Move 20 needles from the right of the 0 and from the left of the 0 (total 40) to D position Move carriage from right to left and back a. This will push all the needles into B position Take the needle pusher and push every other needle forward to D position Set Stitch Dial to 0 Take the threaded yarn and place in the carriage in 1 position and lock the carriage Lightly place the hanging yarn over the needles in D position Push the carriage from right to left and back to cast on the first row Repeat this for about 8 times for until there is enough rows to put the cast-on comb Push carriage to the left side and cut first color from the carriage These first few rows are called your waste yarn Ravel Cord Put stitch Size to 9 a. Cut a length of Ravel cord about the length of the machine b. Put one end of the Ravel cord in the carriage in 1 position holding it with the loose end you just tore from the first yarn (color) c. Push carriage from left to the right hand side d. Pull Ravel cord from the carriage

E-WRAP Put Stitch Size back to 6 Push all the needles into D position Thread the machine with a different colored yarn then you used with the first rows casted on Put in carriage in 1 position and lock carriage Take loose yarn end starting on the left and place between 1st and 2nd needle Wrap around the first needle in counterclockwise direction Hold yarn back closest to the machine with the hand your not wrapping with Repeat for all the needles Stitch 20 rows Decrease Move first needle closest to the carriage to the second needle on your side and push needle one back to A position (right side) Knit across to Left side Repeat step 25 (left side) Knit across to left side Repeat steps 25-28 for 10 rows (eliminating 10
