This assignment is divided into four components; writing skill, speaking skill, reading skill, listening skill each weighting 25%.
Section A:
The Writing Skills Assignment
Weightage: 25%
The students are expected to write on any Two topics out of the Five essay topics listed below.
1. 'Adult Education is one of the most conclusive methods to respond to contemporary change and to accommodate it'. Discuss with reference to the literacy rate of India.
2. 'Today, the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold'. Discuss.
3. 'The system changes with better policies. Society changes with better values'. Discuss.
4. Should euthanasia be legalized? Discuss.
5. 'Genetic engineering is the practice of manipulating the genes of an organism'. Discuss the same by reflecting on its practical as well as ethical considerations.

Section B:
The Speaking Skills Assignment
Weightage: 25%
According to your Tutorial class, you will be divided into groups.
As a group, you will be required to present a review of any movie which interests you.
A power point presentation of the same should be prepared.
Length of each presentation should not be less than 15 minutes.
Presentation must be on time, as indicated in the SAIS.
