In The Matrix we encounter two characters; Neo, who wants to discover the truth about The Matrix and Cypher, who sells out his own companion so he can overlook reality and retreat to living in unmindful rapture. In life, we at times get the decision either to go out and find more about the world, or be neglectful of what is out there.
