Leader From The Movie: Mulan
Leader from a movie: Mulan Mulan possessed many exceptional leadership qualities. She is known for being one of the most independent main female Disney characters for many reasons. Some of the traits she possesses would be courage, confidence, decisiveness, honor, integrity, innovation, open-mindedness, and persistence.

Females in China at the time were just expected to be good wives and daughters. He picked his friends well, he’s courageous, inspiring, personable, honorable, possesses integrity and humility, and he puts others ahead of himself. Harry Potter surrounded himself with trustworthy people who would do the right thing. He was so well-known and powerful that he could have been friends with Draco Malfoy or anyone with more prestige than a Weasley or a mudblood, but he still chose Ron and Hermione. Harry Potter has a quality that is hard to teach, humility. He grew up as an outsider who everyone thought was worthless. He thought that he was different and uncared for until he came to Hogwarts. Growing up this way taught him humility and to always be humble and fair to everyone. He treated everyone as his equal and never thought of himself as better than everyone else, therefore he treated everyone with respect. This is a good quality to have in a leader because Harry cared for everyone, no one wants a leader with a huge

A good leader must demonstrate the qualities that they want to see in their employees. For example at organizations like Starbucks and McDonalds the order takers are always friendly and greet you with a smile. This is a part of their customer focus, so a leader must be able to demonstrate these same qualities. If you saw your leader being rude or mean to customers yet they are always telling you to be nice this would be seen as a contradiction. Then you as the employee could lose respect for the leader because they are not effectively demonstrating what they want to be done. An effective leader must be able to lead by…

As I sat down to watch one of my favorite childhood movies, Mulan, as a critic representing Chinese religion, I expected to see many changes that Disney may have made to the traditions to make it more understandable for children, but I shockingly found that Disney stayed true to many Chinese traditions. Something that stood out to me while watching this movie was the theme of honor and respect. This is a theme that is quite obvious in Chinese culture, and it is demonstrated in Mulan in many ways including the worship of ancestors, respecting others above one, and also the respect that woman must have for men.…

One of the similarities is the early emphasis on the story of Mulan. Both Wei and Edwards essentially begin their work by paying homage to the story of Mulan by outlining her story as a soldier who achieved equality on the battlefield. Edward’s interpretation of Mulan guides the reader’s ability to understand the how women like Wei saw Mulan and it also displayed that the narratives of Mulan change over time. Edwards claims “that Mulan’s story is not merely an empty vessel into which diverse ideological or commercial interest are poured. At its core, it has allowed writers, critics, and audiences to wrestle with key features of the Chinese moral and social universe … despite remarkable and extensive elaborations in plot, characterization and context, these militarisation processes remain central to the narrative tension of the Mulan story” (18). This analysis of Mulan made by Edwards takes shape within Wei’s admiration for the story of Mulan and allows the reader to gain a firsthand look at how women identified with these legendary stories. This admiration guides women like Wei and allowed her to apply the lesson preached in these stories into their own lives. Wei opens her autobiography by writing “[w]hen I was about seven I sat on my mother’s lap round-eyed and still, and listened to…

A good leader should be able to looks after those he wants to lead. He does this by always doing what he can to protect them from harm, criticism, or blame from other people. People want security, that's why they buy SUVs, put money in their 401k, and stay at the same dead end job for years. It's integrated into their nervous system that they want to feel secure. When I have a team of people that I am leading, it can be very powerful when they know that I am on their side, and that I will do whatever I can to make sure that I will protect them from harm of other outside forces. A big part of being a good leader is knowing how to take the blame when things go wrong, and how to give away credit when things go well. And I know that when things go bad or wrong, it's my responsibility to take the blame, even if it was not only my fault. And when things go well, I will make sure that I give the credit to the deserving person who did the great work with me. Hence, making that person look very good.…
