Leaders need inspiration, they are not self-made; they are driven. A leader should be patient, open-minded, and present a positive attitude. No matter how successful your team becomes, a leader should guide you to do greater things than what you have already accomplished. A good leader does not do something because they feel it’s the right thing to do, but they do it cause that’s what they have a passion for doing. Loyalty is another great thing to look for in a great leader. For instance Beowulf left his own land to go defeat Grendel to protect Hrothgar and his people. After defeating him, Grendels mother came after Hrothgar and his people. Beowulf showed good leadership, he did not leave the land after defeating Grendel. Instead he tracked the new threat which was Grendel's mother. Beowulf and those who accompanied him set out to find his mother. As they found her, and was set to defeat her Beowulf was left to fight alone. Beowulf could have turned around and ran but what good leader would do that? …show more content…

The third is that he must be able to develop other good leaders. I will go into more detail about how to implement all three of these characteristics, so that you too can become a good leader.
