I couldn't understand a word in what they were saying. I went to school and could not even understand what the teachers or the kids were saying. I had to leave all my friends and had to start making friends all over again .I must say until now I miss my house and my friends. My parents were the most affected in all of us, making a new start was really scary .They had to leave everything they worked for all their life. I must say when they decided to come and leave in Florida they really thought it was going to be temporally. Years would go by and still the country had problem and my parents could not see us going back to what we had to go through. Now we have ten years in Florida and I still see how my parents miss their old life. They always say, and I remember also, how life in Haiti is more like a family life where we know everyone and we see friends and family on a day to day basis. Here in Florida, we hardly see people we know, and we see family and friends only on occasion. My parents have to cook now and clean and do laundry but in Haiti we had a yard boy, a cook and a home cleaner lady that use to sleep at our house. Who would not miss this kind of
