Lego Research Paper
Growing up working with Legos has led me to a lifelong interest in design. The Lego Architecture sets capture the structural design of real life buildings and use the design of the structural buildings to make Lego Architecture sets to look like real life. The Lego Architecture sets are based off actual places all around the world. My favorite Lego Architecture sets are the New York City, London, Buckingham Palace, Venice, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. These Lego structures gave me the dream of designing because of how they are structurally made in real life. I wish to pursue a career in architectural design and the architectural design program at the University of North Carolina will give me the next steps to reach my goals.

I followed the instructions on where and how I should put the pieces. This lead me to collecting other Lego Architecture sets. As a gift for my graduation from 8th grade, I went to Brick Fest Live on June 3rd, 2017 with my dad. At Brick Fest Live, I saw a lot of unique Lego builds that I surely couldn’t build, but it’s where I got the Lego Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Architecture set.
The benefits of building Legos have shaped my future by giving me the opportunity to get creative in what I could design and what I could make out of the tools provided in the packages. What I design are things I picture in my head that are then drawn out on paper. What I make is that what I have designed in my head and drawn out so that I am ready to make it. When I was making the boat this summer, I designed how the boat was going to look like and then made it out of various I carry around. I have made some changes to the boat before the summer was over.
Legos are fun and easy to build for some children, but they can be difficult for others. Children should start with small Legos and progress to more complex ones when they feel confident. The Lego Architecture sets are very fun to build if you are interested in famous places. Children should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams in what they could be when they grow
