came from (Jones, Roger). Later on in his life, he started to dissect corpses to understand what the human body was made of, and we notice this from his drawing of nerves, vessels, and muscles. He also discovered how the heart was the main function that functioned the blood system and was able to describe atherosclerosis and hepatic cirrhosis (Jones, Rogers).
I learned that Leonardo Da Vinci had created many paintings in his lifetime and created beautiful artworks that intrigued many people around the world. Leonardo Da Vinci used these anatomical sketches as a plan, in order to sculpt large figures of humans and also needed to be able to paint human figures and still have details of the anatomical human body (Jones, Roger). We notice in many of his paintings realism is shown everywhere from the way his figures contain specific details from their muscles, length, facial expressions and etc. The stylistic elements that are present in the artwork from the Renaissance are the presentation of realism instead of ideology. Leonardo Da Vinci didn't want to just predict how the anatomical human body looked like instead, he wanted to know for sure and dissected human body's to have an understanding of how everything worked and connected to each other.
