Leonardo De Vinci Dbq

During the Renaissance it was pretty much the rebirth of Europe’s past and a time where many great artist were recognized. Throughout all of history and through the renaissance there have been many great artists, but none of them like Leonardo De Vinci. Based on the evidence given in DBQ #1, there has been a lot of useful facts given about Leonardo De Vinci.

The first piece of evidence given about leonardo would have to be when it states all of the skills he accompanies. If you go back to his most famous work, “The Last Supper” you would know that he used math and science to get it to look symmetrical. He also had shown realism with all of the people’s gestures and facial expressions. Without his talents all of his most famous works/masterpieces
wouldn’t be in a museum today.

Finally, last but not least, in source #1, states how he had become a master painter by the age of 20, and was known for being a great naturalist. In order to get the realism affect he had mixed paints which was used in his painting “The last Supper.” Not only did his drawings or sketches get used in today’s modern society, he also had written in mirror writing to keep his work secret. So in all, there had been amazing painters, but Leonardo was definitely the greatest artist known. Starting from the inventions he created to his many abilities he truly was a great artist.
