Leonardo Vs Tintoretto

The Last Supper paintings from Leonardo and Tintoretto were painted roughly one hundred years apart. Even though the two paintings have the same title, the two artist painted these paintings in different styles. The two artist differ from each other, Tintoretto is interested in motion, light, and the theatrical appeal and Leonardo is interested in more of a simple appeal. Despite their differences, both artist’s goals were to illustrate the importance of the last supper in one painting. These paintings contrast each other in many ways. The paintings created by Leonardo and Tintoretto showed an artistic movement from the High Renaissance to Late Renaissance.
