EDU 508 Instructional and Assessment Strategies
The lesson plan is an educational tool of great value and application that allows the educator correlate all the variables involved in the teaching process. With the purpose of ensuring better results in the learning of the students and to achieve the educational goals. The development of a lesson plan under the format required by the following subject be presented below (Florida Department of Education, 2008).
Lesson Title: Shapes.
Grade Level: Kindergarten.
Subject Area: Mathematics.
Lesson Duration: Around 45 minutes.
Lesson’s Goal: The teacher will provide the student an opportunity to: Learn about shapes and space, and that through them you can meet and explore new forms and sizes. Objectives: After this lesson the student will: The objective one pursues that to pass the first fifteen minutes of start of the lesson, using the analisys of the proyected, the 85% of the students will be able to identify the different forms by name. The target two searches that passed the thirty minutes of start of the lesson, exploring and recoring forms, 85% of the students are able to learn and compare the different shapes nd sizes. The objective three search that arrived after forty minutes of the lesson, the known and experienced on the shapes, 95% of the students can construct an image showing all what has been learned about shapes. Standards: Big idea 2: Identify and describe Shapes (squares, circles, triangles, cubes, cones, cylinders, and spheres). MA.K.G.2.1: Describe objects in the environment using names of shapes, and describe the relative positions of these objects
