Lessons I Learned In Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin In The Sun

This week in English we learned about the book A Raisin in the Sun. We learned about different characters in the book and their character traits, physical traits, personal traits, and actions. We talked about the relationship between Walter and Ruth. We talked about how Ruth is always being so negative and destroying Walter's dream of having a liquor store. The most important thing I learned in English was the characteristics of each character in the book. The assignment that I spent the most time on was the homework for English were we had to give evidence from the book for every question. This took most of my time because I basically did seven paragraphs for those seven questions. I can tell I am learning because I am able to answer the questions about the book without any doubt. I am able to read without getting distracted and actually understanding the reading, I am having trouble getting used to the amount of h.w the English teacher is giving us because its more that what we usually had for it do be due the next day.
The most important thing I learned in math is to never give up, even if you don't understand the problem there is always something you can try even if you get the answer wrong. The assignment I am spending for time in Math is Khan Academy because we have six lessons to due this week and during break. Within those six lessons I have only finished two lessons completely because the other four are more challenging for me and I need to spend more time working on those lessons. I can tell that I am learning because I am attempting for problems and trying different strategies. I am having trouble learning the steps in which to solve the exponents because the Math teacher never says the steps in which can be helpful. One challenge from last week was the table intercepting equation word problem however, I have overcome that by spending more time on it and passing the mastery
