Let The Boys Go To The Circus Story

The plot of the story is about a husband and wife recalling a circus they went to when to when they were young. They started to recall these times when the wife asked if there to boys could go to the circus. It goes back and forth between the past and how they travled there. As they recall this it brings up stuff that they did when the were young. It brings the wife to relize how they have grown apart. The story starts off by the wife saying, “William, I don’t think it would hurt you to let the boys go to the circus in town tomorrow.” The importance of that is she is starting off with her asking for the boys to go to the circus. With that being starting statement it opens the door for them to recall there time at the circus. Next thing is her going into how the boys have worked hard all summer. This opens up the door for the door for the dad to rember how he got to go to the circus by paying someone to do his work so he go could. They now start to rember back to how they got there and the importance of it. The wife’s father took her with the roads being “frigtful.” This compared to the father walking to the circus in new boots that, “hurt…like the mischief.” With them talking about this it bring the memories of there childhood and what they did. All of this plays a roll in the importance
of the order by building on each other. If the story order changed by putting the childhood memories at the end it wouldn’t have had the sense of importance that it does with were they are now. With where they are now it builds up how the father is slowly rembering his childhood and why he decides to let them go. Now for say that the order changed to where all the present times where together at the end it would seem like the wife no longer cared for her husband. With the story starting to close the wife starts to see how her and her husband have changed just by talking about old times.
This brings a twist to how they mother was to the boys and she now starts to take her husbands side more. If the order was changed then it would lose the importance it has now of how she wants to regain what “the years had cheated her.” When the boys come into the house she gives them money for the circus and tells them not to waste it. This brings the final importance of order by brining in the other importances of order into one final statement. All of the order in the essay buids on another, so that the importance of the wife’s final statement
sticks.
