Dear Sir,
I'm a big fan of your work. Your magazine is exciting, enthralling, and truly amazing. I read your magazine since 2006, and I can't take my eyes of it!
You see, I love vampires, and your magazine is just for me. It has all the news, the facts, and the coolest stuff in the whole vampires' world.
Even though you're doing grate, you haven't written about their food, the blood of course. I would like to read about all the kinds of blood, what is healthier for vampires and what they prefer. Thanks in advance.
Truly yours,
Frederick Fronkensteen

Christopher Beam’s theory of Vampires is similar to Del Toro and Hogan’s piece of “why Vampires Never Die”. All three theorize that the main purpose of Vampires is to have an intelligent monster that is able to think and adapt to modern times. Most monsters want to kill and destroy everything in sight. Vampires are a different type of monster. As Del Toro and Hogan state, “…the Vampire does not seek to obliterate us, but instead offers a peculiar brand of blood alchemy”. This can be interpreted as the Vampire trying to welcome us into their special world of blood lust. A way that the Vampire welcomes us, is by describing their special abilities and powers. Christopher Beam validates this thinking by stating, “Vampires … are the biggest…

Jan Perkowski created a ten-part analysis outline to be used for analyzing different characteristics and functions of vampires that appear in film, television, and literature. This outline can be used to analyze the film The Lost Boys, and how the vampires in the film function as a metaphor for drug use, American nationalism, and a broken family structure, all of which were common in the 1980’s.…

With its many twists and turns, Silver is a unique thriller that no other author can ever recreate. However, without the characters who distinctly reveal their archetypes, the book wouldn’t have been the same. Without The Infected-the vampires, Adam-the bully or Erika-the damsel in distress, the book would have had many different more dull outcomes. The book wouldn’t have the exciting unexpected results in certain situations. It would be just another thriller. Without these characters Chris Wooding wouldn’t be able to say “Some will die. Some will live. And then it will get even…

Both Stoker’s Dracula and Mernau’s Nosferatu have been used to create a new text, with its own concerns, the new text being shadow of the vampire, and its concerns being that it needs to appeal to a postmodern audience. Shadow of the vampire is a new text representing new elements that resonate with a contemporary, post modern audience. Various elements of the gothic mode for example vampirism, immortality, sexuality, and the shadow motif have been appropriated, also Intertextuality is created through the use of real Nosferatu footage, and re-enactments of Nosferatu in order to appeal to a postmodern audience.…

For hundreds of years, many cultures have observed and drawn conclusions in an attempt to prove the existence of vampires. In “Visum et Repertum”, from Vampires, Burial, and Death: Folklore and Reality, Johannes Fluchinger presents an investigation of multiple suspected vampire related deaths in the village of Medvegia. This excerpt contains a medical investigation carried out by medical officers which concludes that the death of seventeen villagers was related to vampire attacks. In addition, the excerpt demonstrates that the inhabitants of Medvegia believed that the individuals that passed had become vampires. This is supported due to the examination of deceased villagers who displayed a condition of vampirism in their graves. It was believed…

The classic vampires are much different from the modern vampires of today. The classic vampire would rise from his coffin and stalk the night, looking for human blood. The vampires need for blood was undeniable and constant. They were known as horrible and vicious killers, and scared away by the smell of garlic. The only way they could be destroyed was by sunlight, decapitation, religious icons, or a wooden stake through the heart. Their only use for humans was as food .On the other hand,…

To describe a vampire can be more difficult than one thinks, because of how diverse they can be. “We have vampires, energy vampires, emotional vampires, mortal vampires prone to illness, and vampires who’ve inherited their condition, or become that by sorcery, reincarnation, or a virus” (Ramsland 176). Vampires have quite a large number of traits, reactions, and abilities. Some include: animation of corpse, immortality and defiance of aging, physical agility and increased strength, ability to see in the dark, ability to shape shift into animal forms, dust, or mist, teeth with a sharp point, and of course, thriving exclusively on blood. Also, to recognize some of the physical traits in a vampire would consist of aversion to sunlight, pale skin, red eyes, foul breath, lack of…
