Dear Mr D. Cameron,
I am writing to you to address the SERIOUS issue of Child poverty in the U.K.
The state of the British children is outrageous and the problems are only getting worse. Have you seen these latest child poverty statistics and facts that show the scale of child poverty in the UK and the affect it can have on: •a child's education •a child's health •the day to day lives of families.
All things in which you promote you are improving within the country under you leadership.
There are currently 3.6 million children living in poverty in the UK .That’s almost a third of all children. 1.6 million Of these children live in severe poverty. In the UK 58% of children living in poverty are in a family where someone works. I know you are a parent yourself would you be satisfied if the PM of your country wasn’t doing anything to help you get out of this vicious cycle of poverty?
According to latest figure the UK Prime Minister receives £142,500 per annum as salary for being Prime Minster and you are also a sitting MP and thus receives and additional salary of £65,737. Therefore, you receive £570.12 a day, if the statistics are right.
Are you aware of how much families living in poverty have a day per person? To buy everything they need such as food, heating, toys, clothes, electricity and transport.
Just £12 per day
Overwhelming I know. Moreover, Child poverty under the recent coalition government -which you are PM for is set to rise 11% in three years. The statistics are harsh reality and 50 young people affected by child poverty a day. I am suggesting that you take a stand now and delve into the area of child poverty within the U.K now if you want to remain PM in the next election.
