Rampant Criminal Cases at Fortune Heights
I as the president of Fortune Heights would like to complaint about the criminal cases in this area. The residents of Fortune Heights have lost of a sense of security as snatch thefts, break-ins and assaults occurred rampantly in this housing area as reported in the local newspapers recently.
Daylight criminal cases show that the criminal are getting out of the hand already. The residents have been outrageously hurt by unrestrained criminal acts. The thefts target affluent houses. They may act like our neighbours and cart away all the furniture in one’s house. Besides, violent criminal acts have cause anxieties among the residents especially the females. The elderly, who used to have morning walk at the garden nearby, are badly affected as recreational activities have to put a stop to ensure their safety. Furthermore, the parents cannot set their mind at rest when they are out and leaving their children at home. Even when the promoters come, the residents are wary of them and think that they maybe actually a snatch thief.
Therefore, I strongly urge the police start to patrol as frequently as possible in my residential area. The presence of the police in these crime hotspots will definitely help to combat crime. Moreover, the residents may also join to be one of the RELA members to enhance the effectiveness of the neighbourhood watch. Furthermore, CCTVs may also be installed in these hotspots in order to deter criminals and enable the police to identify them. Thank you.
