Letter To Mr. Chaffin
Dear, Mr. Chaffin
There´s nothing like waking up in the morning to cattle in the field and a beautiful sunrise behind them. I would love to come visit and see how a day's work is for you. I've always been around livestock since I could remember. Coming to work a day with you would better increase my knowledge. I would love to pursue a career like yours. Livestock has been in my life forever. It all started when my family had sheep. Having sheep gave me a love for livestock. We eventually got rid of the sheep and bought cattle. I love being around cattle. Rounding them up, tagging their ear, and giving them vaccines is fun for me. My love for livestock has been an impact on my life.
I think that seeing what a day on the job is like for you would better increase my knowledge. Being around cattle a large part of my life doesn't mean that I know everything. Learning from an expert like you would help me in the long run. I know how to take care of the cattle, but I don't know the business part. That´s why I want to learn from an expert like you.

I like to work and get my hands dirty, so I think working in a feedlot would be good for me. Supporting a family though is my main priority and I would like to see if I would make enough to support one. It is important to me to have a job that includes what I love to do so I'm not miserable and fooling with cattle is what I love to do. Cattle farming has it's pros and cons, just like any other job, but it is a career I want to pursue.
Visiting the farm to see what you do everyday would be great. What you read above stated that I love cattle with a passion and would like to pursue a career in cattle. Having a job that is fun to me would keep me from being miserable. I´m missing that one piece to the puzzle and you could help me with that. If you would, it would be great of you to come let me visit you on the job and

This acquisition is false, the factory farmers do not get paid unless they are treating the animals with care. One of the reasons why someone pursues farming is because they have the desire to be with animals. According to David Leyonhjelm, the factory farms are more humane than the small scale farms. If the animals were not being treated with the proper care, then the animals would drop like flies. The livestock in the factory farms is protected from wind, snow, rain, heat and cold, and safe from the wild animals. Placing the animals in the factory farms allows the breeding process to be less stressful and the farmers will be able to take care and protect the young animals. While they are being protected in the warehouses, the animals are given a constant balanced diet and they are provided with plenty of fresh water. Factory farms are there to protect the livestock and still treat them with care while providing quality meat and dairy for the consumers. The last thing the factories want to do is cause the livestock discomfort, stress, and diseases. The factory farms are equipped with technology and farmers that can do everything they can to ensure they lead a stress and disease-free…

Farm life has also exposed me to 4-H and FFA. In 4-H, I learned showmanship, commitment, hard work, and much about responsibility. I showed steers, hogs, sheep, rabbit, and dogs. I’ve showed animals for 6 years and I would have to say my favorite experiences in 4-H would have to be showing my dog, Mocha. With Mocha, I was able to earn Grand Champion Agility Dog and Reserve Champion Dog Showman. Over the years I’ve also earned Champion Market Ewe, Champion Sheep Showman, and 1st place Market Steer.…

At an early age, I began preparing for the Houston Livestock Show, being that I am 5 years younger than my brother and I followed in his footsteps. I loved being in the barn with him and my parents, I would practice driving my hog just like my brother did. He is, and has always been, my biggest critic. Over time, I participated in clinics to learn how to show my hog to the best of my ability. I also participated in honorary shows before I was old enough to actually show in the county show and major livestock shows. Through the years I have learned how to care for the best species in the Houston Livestock Show, hogs. Learning how to feed and care for my hogs was a process; I had to learn when to feed them, what to feed them, and how much; and if they…

Because I live on a farm I knew a bit of what was presented but some of the issues I was unaware of that surrounded the farming communities. I am now able to go home and share my new found knowledge with my family. Seeing that we are mainly an animal farm there isn't much to do but I have a new found appreciation for the Combines, and the work that my father does to get the chores done around the barn. With that said I feel I will definitely help out more around the barn in feeding the animals and just overall helping out around the farm. My knowledge towards all aspects of farming and agriculture has been greatly enhanced and with that knowledge I am able to inform others around me with what I…
