LGBT Community Recently there has been a lot of media coverage on the LGBT+ community, since it is a very controversial topic. Just recently people started to acknowledge the presence of gays, transgender, and many other people of the LGBT community. That doesn’t mean that people who are not a part of the community have not been around until recently. These people are not a problem and do no harm to others by being themselves. The only impact it would have on someone is seeing people like that. Many people believe that same-sex marriage is a problem and saying that children need both a mother and father. Although it is amazing they are getting rights, it still doesn’t change the fact that there are people who are against it and will do anything in their power to make sure nothing is going to be legalized. However, there are also people who are also willing to do anything to make sure there are rights for everyone. Many people use the argument that children need both a mother and father. There is research on how there is no one parent who has only certain abilities to teach their child. “In their analysis, the researchers found no evidence of gender-based parenting abilities, with the "partial exception of lactation," noting that very little about the gender of the parent has significance for children's psychological adjustment and social success.” Says Wiley-Blackwell. There are motherless, fatherless, and even parentless children in this world. That is like saying there shouldn’t be single parents out there, because they aren’t raising their child right by being single. Children still have two guardians that are taking care of them any way you see it. With the recent changes I believe gays should be able to adopt if they so want to. (Better concluding sentence) As long as a child is cared for and raised well, anyone should have the right to adopt children. The way I see it, if the original parents couldn't care for the child then what does it matter who cares for it as long as it’s taken care
