There is a continuous debate on weather or not liberalism or conservatism is more effective for the people of the great country of The United States of America, however, many people are simply ill informed. A decision comes first with the definition of both, then fallows with a quick evaluation. Liberalism and conservatism have many differences, and also many different categories amongst themselves. This makes it all the more difficult to grasp the big picture.

Liberalism is of latin origin with liber meaning “ Free”. It is to no surprise then that liberalism concerns itself mainly with freedom and liberty. The idea or liberalism began with Thomas Hobbs and his book Leviathan. He claims that “ all people are equal and are born that way, but for their safety must grant power over themselves to a ruler. Liberalism has a broad range on this topic. Depending how liberal a person is write and wrong can be clearly defined, or one could believe that the only wrong is infringing on another rights. This open mindedness and acceptance can be beneficial in making people like you, but does not make for a stud society.
