List five emotions (feelings) that interfere with your academic success.
Sample: I have continual fear of not succeeding when I am in a math course.
1. Hate towards school.

4. I get anxiety when I don’t understand something.

Do you have conscious control over your own actions and emotions? This exercise will help you to seriously consider some questions as you strive for a deeper understanding of your will.
1. How often do you accomplish your intentions?
I usually always accomplish my intentions at least I try.
2. When you are confronted with a difficult task, do you persist or abandon it?
Persist. I hate math but I always struggle through my homework even it takes me a while.
3. When you want something to occur, do you spend time dreaming about it or constructing strategies to achieve it?
I will most times dream about it because I believe I won’t be able to do it but I can sometimes achieve it if I put my mind to it.
4. How do you explain the differences in your levels of will in different areas of your life? I try my
