Adolph Hitler was born April 20, 1889 at Braunau Am Inn, a small Austrian village just across from the German Bavaria (The History Pace, 1996).
Adolph Hitler is the son of Alois and Klara Hitler. Adolph had an elder half brother and sister and four brethren by his mother and father. Only two children from Alois and Klara stay alive through childhood, Adolph and his undeveloped sister Paula.
Alois was a stern and strict father. Adolph’s older half-brother, Alois, Jr. stood in between Adolph and Alois, Sr. taking the brunt of Alois, Sr.’s criticism and demands. Alois, Jr. ran away from home when he was 14, leaving Adolph to bear the sternness of his father.
Adolph was not only required to focus on his studies as a child he was also required to do household tasks around the farm. Adolph’s happiness lie in art but his father desired him to follow in his footsteps as a civil servant. A number of arguments came from this change in opinion in how Adolph should focus in the direction of his goals as an adult.
