Abraham Lincoln was clearly one of the most prestigious presidents not only in the United States of America, but in the world. As a great leader, he inspired everyone around him and motivated anyone that crossed a few words with the fellow president. Lincoln is an inspiring movie to all generations and races. Steven Spielberg portrayed the last months of Abraham Lincoln’s life and term of office in the movie Lincoln. Great movie considering of the short time it takes to be concluded, it gave you all the important details about Lincoln’s last days as a president and how wise he was even against the most challenging situation. Lincoln, the movie, focuses exactly on the president’s decisions and actions throughout the end of the civil war and most importantly the thirteen amendment. From the beginning of the movie, president Lincoln has a dream about a ship that could be related to his intentions on passing the thirteenth amendment according to his wife, but he knew that was not an easy decision and that he needed to address that issue in a different way if he wanted it to be accepted by society in that time, and so he figures out an excuse that if people wanted to end the war, the thirteenth amendment was essential to settle the conflict and stop the battle, so he uses that to convince people to approve the amendment. During the process Lincoln gets his message trough the people and with conviction make them share with him the idea that slavery was an immoral act, that should end. The movie itself seems nothing like a history lesson, which is important to keep the audience entertained and not being taught, but it sure assembles a motivational movie for all of those who are, of course, in favor of democracy and equality for all men. The feeling that I experienced after watching the movie, was truly motivational. After watching Lincoln I am sure everyone felt the need of actually being someone that influences the world in such a positive manner
