Booth is also a confederate sympathizer, and although expressing his feelings about the South to Lucy on several occasions, he never tells her of his plans to kill Lincoln. Booth is not alone in his endeavors though, he enlists the help of other men who share the same beliefs as him, and who he believes have something to offer the operation.
