There are so many things that need to be added or changed to the way that education is to be taught today. Teachers these days have no clue what they are doing. But then again, most teachers are not caught up with the new strategies, any new technology that can be incorporated into the curriculum, and or just any new way of teaching in general. This article called “Critical Issues in
Advancing the Special Education Technology Evidence Base”, is basically explaining and telling you the many ways that technology can either be changed or added into the special education classes in today’s generation of teaching classes. There are many people out in the world today who think that there are many different kinds of special education and they aren’t wrong. But this specific type of special education is called the field of special education technology, which is basically like many different activities that usually serve to an argument, bypass, or compensate for a disability. This specific type of field is like a kaleidoscope or the different types of perceptions because the field of special educations technology is viewed through the reflection of many different lenses. The different kinds of lenses that I’m talking about is the lenses of innovation, policy, and theory that gives a mechanism for filtering, viewing, and using the special education technology research and knowledge based. Then again, when technology is advanced and is viewed through a historical lens, changes can appear to be the result of natural and logical advancements that is usually called progress. There are many ways to understand the history of technology but the one way is that “one person must recognize the unquenchable tinkering of humankind to create new tools that solve problems and improve the quality of life”(Kelly, 2010).
