Litterbug
Littering can be hazardous, like shards of broken glass, or non-hazardous, like a gum wrapper. Littering occurs when people are too lazy to throw trash in the right manner. When you walk down the streets of my hometown you notice by looking at the sidewalks that there is a littering problem. The littering problem not only effects the people living in the town as well as the animals. The evidence is clear that when people are trying to sell their home, they want the community around to look at the town as presentable. The litter problem in Danville is really concerning me, and I believe if I convince you, you may just agree with me and stop this dilemma.

Littering is an issue in the town of Danville that is going to be affected the future if something is not done to resolve it. Some people may disagree that the reason people litter is because there is nowhere to put trash when walking down the street or they have become too careless to find a trash can. It is clear that some people are ignorant to the harm they are doing to the town by littering and the variety of problems they are causing. It is a fact that littering has a huge effect on animals along with people. Most animals can’t tell the difference between food and trash leaving them poisoned from trash they have eaten. Cigarette butts have been found in the stomachs of birds, dogs, cats, and squirrels. Littering can also be hazardous to one's health by attracting vermin and bacteria.
My solution to the littering problem is to put more public trash cans and recycling boxes around each block. In result to putting more public trash cans and recycling boxes, I think my hometown should have a designated day to clean up the trash around the city. If the idea of recycling and cleaning up the town becomes popular and well known the town will make a change. Both of these solutions will result in minimizing the amount of trash in the environment and will help the township look cleaner. I believe this issue needs to

Wasting is something we’re all fond of doing; it has become a very popular issue in my city. Whether arising from lack of time to consume, or greed driven. The council is stopping land fill, and having household waste collected in groups i.e. Glass, metal, food waste, plastic and paper. This assures quick delivery to recycling plants to be materially reproduced. There are also such bins in the city Centre and large banks at shopping centers. Also there are laws that are enforcing hard crackdowns on litterbugs and fly-tippers.…

The decision by the city commission to adopt curbside recycling is a step in the right direction — which is why we fully support its leadership on this issue. However, the decision by the city commission to make curbside recycling optional rewards the wrong behavior (polluting), and punishes the right behavior (recycling). Those who already recycle will choose to participate in curbside recycling and pay for it. Those who do not recycle…

I agree with Mr. Trippett’s argument on the scofflaws in America. Once everyone starts disobey laws chaos will ensue. People could possibly be hurting others or polluting the earth if they don’t dispose of waste properly and the noise could be highly irritating to some. In my experience with these scofflaws around the country I have almost be in an accident myself and I have actually picked up trash after someone else didn’t dispose of it. A lot of bad occurrences can happen when more and more people skirt these minor laws. Many accidents occur around the country and most are because of speeding and texting while driving. Many people litter and some don’t dispose of certain waste material properly which could cause pollution.…

This is probably the reason why the earth is being polluted with trash. Studies show that people litter because they do not feel responsible for public areas and that people usually litter outside of their neighborhoods where the trash becomes someone else’s problem. One example on how litter can affect the environment is that organic litter can cause water pollution and lead to algal blooms, and cigarettes could also start fires if they are not put out and then discarded in the environment. In Al Gore's speech he talks about how in 7 years the North Polar ice cap might “fall off a cliff.” This might happen in 7 years because of the Northern Hemisphere tilting away from the sun. This happened because of all the pollution and global warming we caused and because of our trash. So, people may argue and say one piece of trash on the ground doesn't really matter and that it’s okay to throw little pieces of trash on the floor but it’s not. Every little piece adds up and still causes damage on the environment. So think next time you're about to throw your candy wrapper in a nearby bush. Think about the consequences of that action and how it will affect the…

In my oppinion, this initiative is a good idea to an extent. The city should not make this into a full blown law though. If people want to recycle then they will recycle. If not, well then they wont. I think it would be a good idea to make these separate bins available to citizens who would like to take part in the initiative. However, citizens who do not wish to participate should not not be forced to. They should not be bullied into doing something with the threat of being fined if they make a mistake or forget which bin there trash goes in. Let the people decide. Do not force this initiative upon…
