Many of the attendees were seasoned veterans and were quick to introduce themselves to us. We found the community to be very easygoing and welcoming as they involved us in what was happening and educated us on the schedule of the evening. Within the performance, there were several things that caught me off-guard. In particular, the size and setup of the theatre. It was small and intimate, but the setup of the stage seemed slightly unprofessional and beat up. However, as soon as the evening started, it was obvious that improv was more low-key and social which matched the setting of the stage and seating. It was obnoxiously loud, but it helped to maintain the interest of the audience.
