Part B – Essay
Nowadays, there is a popular trend in young people to leave their parents’ care earlier and start to live on their own. The situation of living independently leads youngsters to both advantages and disadvantages.
Young people prefer to be separated from their parents because of some obvious benefits. First of all, they have the freedom to do actions that parents do not usually allow their children to do. Imagining you live independently, you can go to bed and get up at a later time than usual, spend all day in front of the computer screen or decorate your place without your mother’s disagreement. You do not have to hear your parents’ reminder to do your homework or housework and their scoldings if you make mistakes. Secondly, leaving your home early, you are trained to become independent and self-sufficient. Separated from your parents you are now responsible for every aspect of your life: you have to remember to pay bills on time, go to the market to buy ingredients for cooking or taking out the garbage regularly. Since there is nobody around that you can count on, you learn to take care of everything
