Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day... There are only so many tomorrows.”. Mortality is something that is very easy to forget in our day to day lives. If you waste the time that you have you don’t ever get it back. Time is a limited resource and one day you will die, so use your time and opportunities wisely. Wasting time in front of a TV watching shows that won’t make any difference on your life in a week isn't productive. Too many people put things off in life. They claim they will get it done next week or tomorrow, yet never accomplish these tasks. Constantly making up an excuses to push off things until a later date is the least productive tactic. You can't wait for the perfect moment in life, because there is no such thing. This moment is the only moment that you can control, so reach for it it and don’t let it slip away, because nothing is guaranteed.…

When Jefferson says time is something you can’t afford to lose, he means always live in the moment. Don’t worry about the future or else you will lose time. You can’t change the past, you can change the future, you should live in the moment. Be happy right now instead of worrying about the future. What he’s saying is that if you spend too much time worrying, you will lose the time that you have right now.…

I can also invest in my future by being conscious of the importance of time and time management. Time management is vital for any investment. Time is precious and the actions done in a 24 hr. time frame can affect a lot in the future. It means I engage myself in appropriate activities that are important to a secured and invested future at the appropriate time period. For example, to invest in my future, I must not use up all my time to watch television or being on social networks when I can use the same free time to study. I also would not read when I am supposed to be relaxing or exercising. It also means being at the right place at the right time.…

An essential skill that will help me succeed in college is time management. I chose this skill because it is crucial to know when a class is, when an assignment is due, what day the test is, when I have free time, and when I don’t. Mastering this skill will help me keep track of my time and ensure I get all my studies done while still having free time to do fun things. When I get to the point where I realize I don’t have time to go to the mall with everyone because I have to study for that math test, I will remind myself it is just part of the journey to my Medical Degree in Biochemistry that I will complete in the future. In “Managing Your Time: Setting Priorities and Developing Strategies for Success” Businessman Company writes,…
