Logo Analysis Of Ethos Pathos Logos
During my designing process I was trying to rebrand with a simple, playful, and sophisticated logo that would easily attract attention to your logo. I choose to use the hamburger buns because it was a nice adetion to the banner and the grill utensils help tie it all together. I choose the name Castle Grill because I knew that the name with my vision I had for this logo would tie to perfectly. The text I decided on for this logo was Myriad Pro which is a default font that helped make the logo less complex, which was needed with all the logo had going on in it. The only thing that they really wanted to keep the same during this rebranding process was the color they wanted to keep the green in the design, because it is the main color of the school. So when brainstorming on how to work that color, I decided to change the color of my banner to that shade of green, which was the final piece of making this logo for them.

I took in a lot of advice from citiques and tested all them on my logo some of the things that I can think off of the top are sesame seeds that are on the top bun, then adding the highlight to the bottom bun, and darkening a part of the banner that way you know it is a shadow and that it is behind the other part of the banner. I felt like I could have worked a little harder on this project towards the end. I felt as if I started out really strong and really good, but then as we moved into working on the style guide I kinda just lost all my energy and excitement for the project, that is where I feel like I dropped a lot of my grade. My presentation was also where I feel like I lost some points because I wasn’t prepared powerpoint wise. Other than my powerpoint not being done I feel like I did a great job at presenting especially for being the first person to go and not being able to tweak stuff from other people’s

School uniforms, are they a burden to families in the United States, or are they preventing students form the hardships of being bullied? In a case of a low income family, uniforms are a better choice. Uniforms not only keep a school in order and prevent provocative clothing, but hide a student’s backgrounds from being manipulated by everyday bullies. School uniforms should be enforced in several schools because they teach students professionalism, will encourage teamwork and success in school, and prevent sexual harassment in schools and at home.…

Authors writings all have a purpose whether it is informing, persuading, or arguing. Also, the authors work include three types of communication, logos, ethos, and pathos. “My first book, Stiff, was an offshoot of a column I wrote for Salon.com.” (Roach 1) The Solon columnist Mary Roach dives into the use of dead bodies that are donated to surgeons for research purposes. Mary Roach wrote the book Stiff. I read a small section of the book. The part I read was very interesting and gave exciting insight to historical research. In the text I read, she seemed to focus on logos and pathos.…

I grew up on a ship. Not a cruise ship, and not a houseboat or a yacht; the MV Logos II was a converted car ferry that sold books and did aid work around the world. My family moved aboard for four years when I was ten. It’s a singular experience; very few people can say they spent four years living on a ship, particularly from the ages of ten to fourteen. Those four years have been incredibly influential on me as a person and for years I’ve toyed with the idea of translating it into some written form. I am, after all, a writer. Much of my time here at Gallatin has been spent refining my understanding of story and the intricacies of plot. Writing a story about growing up on a ship would be the next logical step.…

Some might say that logos is more effective in persuading because it appeals to one’s logic or reasoning. While they are not wrong about logos being an effective persuasion technique, there needs to be a pathos along with it to make the audience feel the emotion that the author is trying to provoke. Making the audience feel any emotion will make any speech much more memorable. Therefore, making the speech…

Although Creon uses ethos to convey his feelings towards his laws, Haemon uses rhetorical appeal within pathos to support Antigone. Creon expresses his belief that the law is law, and no one should break it, “I’ll have no dealings with lawbreaks, critics of the government: whoever is chosen to govern should be obeyed” (iii.34-35). Within this, Creon believes that no matter how strict the rules are, they are rules, and they must be obeyed. This way of approach seems right to Creon, because he believes that he is above everyone else, and that his rules are for the benefit of the citizens. Haemon however, questions his belief of his father Haemon exclaims, “You are not in a position to know everything that people say or do, or what they feel” (iii.58-59). Haemon appeals his position with the backings of the citizens. He believes that the citizens come before the rules, and whatever suits them the best should be the law, not whatever a king says is. Haemon creates a brash response to Creon by telling him he doesn’t know what the people want and essentially jeopardizes his relationship with his father. Furthermore, Haemon goes on by questioning his father, “She covered her brother’s body, is this indecent? She kept him from dogs and vultures, is this a crime?” (iii. 65-66). Using a rhetorical appeal, Haemon questions the doing of Creon. He creates an ethical approach to his belief in what’s right by acknowledging the problems with Creon’s law, yet not straight forward telling him he is wrong. Overall, Ultimately Haemons rhetorical questions and overall ethical response shows the underlying stupidity of Creon’s law.…

The Foundation for Economic Education’s article called “Fast Food and Personal Responsibility” by Ninos P. Malek talks about how ridiculous on how fast food restaurants are getting sued for humans becoming overweight. He goes into more detail by saying it’s personal responsibilities on what you eat every day. On the flip side, another article entitled “Don’t Blame the Eater” by David Zinczenko from The New York Times talks about why you should blame the fast food chains and not the person eating the one thousands calorie fast food meal. The two articles are opposing each other and arguing who to blame for the situation. The article I agree with is “Fast Food and Personal Responsibility but it’s less effective to the readers because it lacks…

The song “Blown Away” by Carrie Underwood shows many examples of pathos, ethos, and logos. The emotions evoked by the song are heart wrenching and dark. Both the musical elements and music video of “Blown Away” contribute to an underlying sinister and intense mood. The song’s tempo and loud rhythmic beat the story told by the lyrics. Carrie Underwood enhances her credibility as a major country singer ten years after winning season four of “American Idol”. She demonstrates logos in her song by incorporating the location in which the events are happening, repeatedly singing Oklahoma. The state of Oklahoma is associated with an area of the United States called “tornado alley”, so the name of the song has a double meaning. “Blown Away” was written…

Aristotle has three appeals. The first appeal is ethos. This means the speakers competence and character. In my speech about bees being endangered I spoke about my ignorance towards bees. My ignorance was started after I got stung and existed until I watched a bee pollinate a flower. The second appeal is logos. This is the evidence and reasoning you deliver in the speech. For example, the reasoning, I talked about is what bees job is. They pollinate a lot of plants and this allows many families to survive. The evidence of bee decline in population is the number of crops suffering to grow. The last appeal is pathos. Pathos is the emotional appeal. Everyone gets upset when you include how dogs and cats are affected by something. I spoke about…

The first thing I did when designing this logo was choosing a font. I wrote out the name of your company several times in different fonts to figure out which one looked and represented your company the best. After I picked a font, I looked at some dreamcatchers for reference and designed a simplified version of the ones I saw. Instead of showing the interlaced strings in the center of the dreamcatcher, I left those details out and instead I put two capital n's there after merging them together. I then put the name “Native Nurseries” underneath the dreamcatcher. When choosing colors, I decided to go with a red-violet color for the text, and black for the…

This project was challenging from the beginning. We had difficulty identifying what we were going to center our project around. Once we got going however we did get a lot of productive work done. I didn’t contribute a large direct contribution to the paper, but I did the introduction and conclusion portions. I also worked closely with Yibo and Bobby to structure their arguments in their portions of the paper. Bobby found my assistance very helpful and him and I constantly worked on revising portions of the paper as we were writing them. Yibo asked for help and we gave him help as well as outlined how his paper should go, but he was unable to structure his part of the paper accordingly. If I were to re-do the project I would have liked to work more closely with Yibo on his part of the paper, and ensured we all cited our work as we went. We got mixed up in a few of our sources and it was a headache to fit them at the end, but we were able to crunch it out at the end. I felt the presentation fell upon my lap for the most part and I would have liked more contributions from the other members as far as setting up the presentation. However I was very grateful that each of the members had their own knowledge about their sections of the paper.…
