How ethical nature of the individual is explained through out the Lord of the Flies and as civilization and savagery unfolds, Ralph represents civilization and Jack represents savagery. When they picked their leader (which was Ralph) other characters are outraged, moving on through the society, different opinions matter and represents a group of individuals. On the other hand, Ralph is civilized he tries to have different groups so they can have order within them and he makes hunters, builders, gathers etc. And when he does this some of the younger children don’t do anything and they just play and don’t help at all and it makes Ralph upset

Once Jack takes Sam and Eric and kills piggy he goes as far as hunting Ralph to kill him. Ralph finds Sam and Eric and tells them he’s going to hide in the bush and that he’s going help them so he hides in the bushes when he hears footsteps. Once the footsteps get closer it’s one of Jacks tribe members and Sam and Eric tell them were Ralph is hiding and when Sam and Eric revealed that he is hiding in the bushes, Jack decides to set the bushes on fire which causes the whole island to catch fire.
Also the boys face nature vs human and this is because while the boys are young they have to know how to work with the things around them for example when Ralph struggles to make shelter for the kids while everyone else is either playing or doing nothing at all and when they go up the hill to make a fire they struggle to create the fire until they use Piggy’s spec’s and when samneric let the fire go out jack gets very mad because there was a ship that passed them but didn’t see them because they let the fire go out, they struggle to remain
