“I’M BACK!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, not being able to show how relieved I was.
I glanced around, looking for Simon, expecting him to come up behind me and give me a wedgie, but he wasn’t there.
“Do you know where Simon is?” I asked another boy.
“I haven’t seen him for awhile, I think he got adopted.”
“Pretty good for the rest of us, right?” he said.
“Yeah, I guess.”
Simon got adopted in this dimension but I am going to be the only one who really knows what happened.
A couple of weeks have passed with non stop nightmares. Nightmares about
that night, reliving every second, every moment of my time wasted on thinking about that night. Eventually, the nightmares are so real, I could almost touch her. One night, there were whispers.
“Blake, I know where you are,”
They are just nightmares, no one is out to injure you. It’s just your anxiety and the storm that is making you hear things.
Instantly, I can feel a cold, bony hand as if a dead person has just grabbed my wrist, pulling me into a vortex of darkness.
“You thought you could just leave,” said the Demon.
Her eyes were red, raging with anger, not being able to move.
“Let go of me!” I screamed.
“How dare you talk to with me such disrespect!” said the demon, while grabbing me with more force.
Suddenly, I remembered Mrs. Wilson saying the exact same things, the day that I found the gem. While in shock, I was hauled away into the vortex, having to relive the exact same thing that I had gone through before.
