Low And Monotone In Whiz-Bang Film, Directed By Jeremy Renner
Her voice is so low and monotone throughout the movie, which honestly put me to sleep halfway into the movie. It’s almost frustrating to watch her character. On the other hand, Jeremy Renner’s character is more appealing and likable. Those expecting a whiz-bang film should be prepared for a more cerebral and emotional experience, admirable for its ambition and tone, if not wholly satisfying in its payoff.

    Since the invention of film, many movies have earned their place as benchmarks in cinema history, such as Casablanca, citizen kane, and The Wizard of Oz. All of these have been (and still are) looked upon as iconic examples of creative and intuitive filmmaking.     With seemingly never-ending advancements in technology, permanent standards cannot be set for what can be loved, created, or blown up in a film. Yet the most popular examples of modern media are ones to which audiences can relate; not films with the most explosions or high-tech graphics. For example, The Passion directed by Mel Gibson is raking in hundreds of millions at the box office. Pekar, although a successful underground comic writer, does not possess the qualities that any audience member would want to have.
