The novel Of Mice and Men shows many examples of commitment and loyalty. Lennie respects very highly of George all the time. Lennie is mentally slow, so he might think of George as his master, but they are best friends. George is committed to reach his dream. He has always wanted to own a small “dream farm,” and many people are financially supporting him. Even though he doesn’t end up with the dream farm in the novel, he still worked very hard for it. Lastly, everyone was loyal to Slim. The rest of the characters considered him as the “prince” of the farm. All of this shows how people were loyal to others, whether in the right or wrong way, and how you should work hard to fulfill your dreams, even if it does not work out as expected. Lennie,
