Luxury Cars Research Paper
Luxury Cars The automobile has been one of the most revolutionary inventions in the past few centuries. The invention of the automobile has completely reshaped our way of life. We are now able to go farther distances in shorter periods of time than ever before. Yet with every great invention is the product that is a step above the rest. What I am talking about is luxury cars.
Luxury cars have been around since about the same day as any other automobile. What makes them a step above the rest? Are they really worth that extra money? Or are they just a social symbol to show your amount of wealth. If you had no financial restrictions which car would you choose? There are two major classes of cars in todays world. They are the luxury cars which are made up mainly of Mercedes and BMW and the economy cars made up mostly of Honda,
Toyota, General Motors, and Ford. There is a very larger price difference between these two classes of cars. What your paying for in an economy car is to get you from point A to point B in a little bit of comfort. In a luxury car you are paying for performance, safety, more advanced technology, and superior design. These qualities are needed for the car to be considered good but they increase the drivers quality, comfort and luxury wherever they are driving. Many economy car companies attempt to replicate the look and feel of many luxury cars.
Which usually results in a failure. This is true because in order to compete with the luxury cars

the economy cars would have to use the highest quality materials as does the luxury cars do. In doing so the total cost of the car would increase. This cost increase would decrease the amount of people in their targeted market. For example the Hyundai Equus is the top of the line for
Hyundai and starts at about sixty thousand dollars. Or you can have a mid range BMW five series for ten thousand dollars less. BMW has been know for its luxury cars

In 1902, only 23,000 cars were in operation in America compared with 17 million horses. Yet, 50 small motor clubs had been formed by motoring enthusiasts across the country. The growth of the number of cars is incredible today. According to the Bureau of Transportation, there are 254,212,610 registered passenger vehicles. 1902 to today, the number of cars has grown about 254,189,610. Furthermore, imagine the number in car in the next century. The number of Cars in 1902 to 2015 is just the half of it. With current and/or new technology that is soon to come, the design of the car in a century would be dramatic as well. For example, some people in 1902 described automobiles as “horseless carriages”. Today some people describe as cars as efficient and high- quality. The safety in cars today is better for collisions. Although price increased by A LOT it is worth the pay. Moreover in 100 years, there would be a dramatic change in the number of cars in America, the design, and the price.…

Recently I’ve been comparing my favorite two cars , the Lexus IS300 and the Acura RSX to see which one is better. A Lexus IS300 is said to be a luxury car. Kelly Blue Book gave the first generation IS300 its Best to Hold Value Award in 2001. “The Passionate Pursuit of Perfection” is the popular and long-standing company motto for the Lexus Company. This motto is used in advertisements and commercials to convince people that it’s the best luxurious car around due to perfection. On the other hand, an Acura RSX is said to be luxury car as well. The RSX was listed among Car and Driver…
