Your body needs some kind energy to keep it functioning and working properly; Our bodies inherit the energy they need from food through metabolism. Metabolism is the chemical reactions in the cells that transfer the fuel from food into the energy needed in everyday life to complete daily activities. Energy is needed to get rid of oxygen from certain areas in our bodies and remove it from our bloodstream. Energy comes from;
Fats
Carbohydrates
proteins
Without energy stored in our bodies- our bodies would not function properly at all every human being needs energy to survive. Energy’s role in our body consists of the breakdown of large molecules to release energy, this is called catabolism. The opposite reaction would be anabolism; this is when energy is used to build complex structures from simple cells.
Cellular respiration
Energy is produced from the food we eat. The cells break down the energy stored in the food through a system known as cellular respiration. Cellular respiration means the food is broken down by the cells to produce the energy. Cellular respiration is the process of changing food molecules to water, carbon dioxide and energy.

The Digestive system …show more content…
Organs that make up the digestive system are the mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine the colon, rectum, and anus. These organs all contain one important thing: mucosa. In the mouth, stomach, and small intestine, the mucosa contains tiny glands that produce juices to help digest food. Two digestive organs, the liver and the pancreas, produce digestive juices that reach the intestine through small tubes called ducts. The gallbladder stores the liver's digestive juices until they are needed in the
