The set starts out with every member of the band coming out on stage one at a time. Some of the instruments I recognized and was familiar with, such as the saxophone, clarinet, bass, and drums. They introduced a variety of instruments that looked either homemade or sounded strange to me, like the electric banjo, drumitar, and synthesizers. There was a bit of scat vocals done by Victor Wooten as well. One thing I noticed in this song was the repetition. I think the bass line was constant throughout the entire four minute long song. The set looked very non-Western to me, especially the rugs that were laid down in the middle of the stage. Almost the entire song had a mixed meter and…

The sea change in Old Navy 's concept is trying to reach the identified target consumer directly, rather than through his girlfriend, wife, sister, or mother. Old Navy is assuming that social media and videos will reach the male consumer better and inspire him to buy more than cheesy television advertisements. Ultimately, they are trying a fresh approach to reach a new audience. Old Navy is working on defining the customer in order to better position its ' product and gain more sales. In addition, the company has run qualitative research on their customers who show that more men are shopping for themselves, and more apt to buy multiple items upon finding something they like and are interested in.…

Right from the beginning, the song had a noticeable blend of different styles of music, from Oriental, to folk, to southern gospel and reggae. This was further emphasized through the many different people from all over the world singing the same song in their own style or with their own instruments. From India, to Israel, to the Congo, to South Africa, the different styles and cultures were evident even in small snapshots. The mixture of different instruments, from the sarod, to guitars, to bongos, to drums, mixed with people of different ethnicities, nationalities, and languages, showed how everyone was unique but still able to connect through a…

Now, I am going to discuss some differences and similarities between driving in the summer and winter. First off, when driving in the summer you would have to be more aware of the rules of the road because the police are out more and more people will be crossing the street. In the summer there are more student drivers on the road then in the in the winter because the roads are clear and easier to drive on. In would be best if you get a tune up on your car going into the winter. Because you will need certain body part for your car for certain type of weather.…

It has been a joy to be in your class Dr. Petersen, thank you for all the musical knowledge you have given to me this semester. Prior to this class I had no musical background and I had never played an instrument. I have always been interested in the history of music and its evoltion through the ages. I am extremly grateful for you shedding light on the different cultures and their musical preferneces. It really broadened my horizon because all I use to listen to was hip hop and now I am listening to jazz , classical, and am overall more open minded. Hopefully I will put this information to good use in the future as I am trying to be a DJ and I will definitely sample famous legends like Bethoven and Duke Ellington because their works laid the…

To reach the PNP’s goal of improving the crime reporting system in the country and be up-tp-date with what is really happening on the field, an E-Blotter System was launched with the collaboration of Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) and ITMS. The e-Blotter System is a priority program of PNP Chief Director General Nicanor A. Bartolome, which geared to “enhance the crime reporting system for effective law enforcement, public safety and efficient administration of justice” by utilizing modern technology, such as computers and the Internet. With E-Blotter, information on a crime complaint will be encoded directly to the computer, and the regional headquarters will automatically get a copy of the report. This will also allow officials to monitor police responses and development in a case, at the same time provide real-time crime data to field commanders that will eventually guide them in their crime prevention efforts.…
