He was so determined that they would have to kill him to leave. Mac had seen much fish in the clear blue water, including a few sharks. Mac gathered what he could then started on his mission to build a hut to live in. It took thirty-three days to complete something withstandable to the harsh waves crashing into the side of the hut.
After seeing this man build a hut and killing trees and fish, the tribe decided to take immediate action to save their piece of land. Their whole tribe got on their horses and rode up to Mac and told him he had forty-eight hours to get on his boat and leave or they would take action and make him leave.
Mac knew what they were meaning but he knew that he was not leaving this island. he was exploring the land and living the rest of his life here. He knew he would die here alone if he didn’t marry any girl from the tribe. He wanted peace with the native tribe. Mac consulted with the head people from the tribe hours after hearing that they planned to run him off. The head people said we are all native and you are not accepted
