Macbeth Act 1
Act 1 Macbeth In Act 1 of Macbeth by Shakespeare I found the mood to be shifty. The way the weather and surrounding elements suddenly change, how the witches speak, and the relationship between Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are really shady and mysterious. As the reader I never really know what to expect next from the setting or the characters.
The weather in Act 1 was a dark factor, meaning by the way the thunder suddenly began appear when the reader knows something isn't align. Also the way the crow croaks it's a foreshadowing where the crow symbolizes death growing nearer. It has a creepy, spine-chilling feel that made me feel nervous. "The raven himself is hoarse that croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan under my battlements "

This is foreshadowing Duncan's death in a very creepy way.
The three witches are simply terrifyingly thought provoking as in everything they say has another dark and mysterious meaning that paradoxes itself sometimes and I get this feeling of uncertainty just reading it. "Fair is foul and foul is fair"
(Act 1 Scene 1 Page 302 Line 10) this means that everything you think is morally correct and ethical is wrong. That's hard to wrap your brain around and it's scary not being able to understand certain things. I feel this adds alot to the shifty feeling.
The relationship of the Macbeths is backwards, Lady Macbeth is twisted and cruel, like the witches, while Macbeth is more ethical but being led by a bad example. Lady Macbeth is a corrupted mind that influences Macbeth into doing the unspeakable. The way she speaks about her not acting as a woman and wanting to do deeds that are horrid is very shifty.
